Big THANKS to The Sprosty Network for inviting me to photograph a few of their staff and consultants. I had the pleasure of meeting 5 exceedingly talented and fun people that day. Here is just one of my favorite images from a day full of headshots. I think it's the glasses. Also, hugs to Leslie Plesser of Shuttersmack for the kind referral. Smoooch!!
I recently revisited my photos from a vacation John and I took to Greece several years ago. This one stood out. It was good enough that I printed it and hung it on our wall, which I don't do with my own work often. Now, I want to print it even bigger. And, I think I want to go back to Greece! The swimmer in the bottom of the frame is my favorite part.
This portrait is from last Fall. I met an extended family for portraits by the river near St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis. The family was celebrating their mother's 70th birthday and since they don't all get together as often as they would like, we did a bunch of photographs. Below is what happens when cousins get together.
Lately, it's all about one window, one kid, and that glint in their eyes. I love classic black and white photography for representing the sweetest, cuddliest, baby parts.
Blustery, cold days are good for something : getting your picture taken in a giant daylight studio! I love the way these portraits turned out. Great kids, great family.
This may be one of my all-time favorite portraits of a bride. This was lovely Meghan on her wedding day, at a downtown St. Paul, MN hotel.
Just this week, my youngest has moved on from her version of crawling, to her version of climbing and yes, STANDING! I am just getting around to sharing these photos of her, where she was beginning to wiggle around on her tummy. I guess that means it's time for a new portrait. Maybe I'll get around to posting those when she is walking.
Happy New Year! Today, I am so pleased with life. Because, as I look back over 2014, I see a life filled with happy occasions. There was a new baby, a rambunctious toddler, a handsome husband, and loads of supportive friends and clients.
Okay, so there was also spit up on everything, tantrums at Target, sleeplessness, and epically cold weather. But, really, who cares about all that.
Thank you to all of you that made the year sweet. Below are a few of my favorite photos from 2014 or, what I could gather to write this post before Annika wakes from her nap.
I love the light, the movement, the wind, and of course, the kid!
K and S are getting married in little over a month. Here are some of the best shots from their engagement portrait session in Minneapolis. MSP Mag recently featured this session as part of a feature they ran on ideas for engagement pics. See it here. The stop at downtown locale Izzy's Ice Cream was a highlight for sure. Shot for my work with the Rivets and Roses studio.
